In the obituary of the Hungarian musician Cecilia Vajda (18 January) the writer states: "A charismatic choral technician, Vajda was meticulous, exacting and demanding, never more so than during her distinguished tenure as conductor of the BBC Singers" writes Victoria Bevan.
I regret to say that she did not have a "tenure" or any sort of ongoing relationship with the BBC Singers, conducting just one concert with them, in 1970.
