I consider myself richly blessed to have had those special years with Michael at Whitechapel. We would often chat about his career, especially his times as an MP. He was very interested in people, their lives and interests. Heaven's arches may ring on receiving Michael, but the world has lost a truly wonderful and remarkable man.
