Royal engagements

The Duke of Edinburgh, Grand Master, attends the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators Court Investiture and Dinner at Painters' Hall, Little Trinity Lane, London EC4. The Princess Royal, Patron, BT Concert Global Challenge, officially names the new design Challenge 2000 pre-production yacht at Hamble Marina, Hampshire; officially opens the new Learning Resources Centre at Southampton City College, St Mary Street, Southampton; and as President, Animal Health Trust, gives a Corporate Members' Reception at Buckingham Palace.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Welsh Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Coldstream Guards.
