Tam Dalyell suggests [10 October] that Sir Ian Lloyd was "almost certainly the last surviving economist who was personally taught and supervised by John Maynard Keynes". Well, not quite, writes Sir Bryan Hopkin.

I was so taught and supervised, and I am still surviving (just about).
