Paula Yates was back in Britain last night preparing for a high- profile legal battle with her ex-husband Bob Geldof over the custody of their three children.

The television presenter arrived at London's Heathrow airport after cutting short a trip to Australia with new partner INXS star Michael Hutchence and their two-month-old daughter.

Ms Yates also faces a Scotland Yard inquiry into an alleged drug find at her home in Chelsea, west London.
