Things didn't go as planned for a stage invader who tried to crash Action Bronson's Lovebox Festival set, when the burly rapper stopped mid-song to punch him and hurl him off the stage.

During the rapper’s performance on the BBC 1 Xtra stage at the London festival a fan, dressed in what seemed to be an outfit inspired by A Clockwork Orange, managed to gain access to front of the stage.

Ex-chef Bronson, clearly not relishing the disturbance during his song "Terry", delivered a swift left hook to the trespasser before grabbing him by the scruff of his neck and throwing him into the crowd.

In another video posted of Bronson, reportedly shot just after the event, he shouts: "You’re a piece of s**t, you’re lucky I didn’t knock you out."

Bronson was pictured after the his performance with an ice pack covering the hand that he had delivered the punch with.

The Independent's deputy social media editor Brett Leppard, who was present at the performance, said: "The guy just seemed to run on the from the back of the stage dressed in some kind of 'droog' outfit. The guy was lucky because I think there was a second punch that missed. The crowd seemed fully supportive of his actions."

This isn’t the first time that Bronson has taken to agricultural means to remove stage invaders. Back in March he threw another fan off the stage in New York, reportedly knocked out another who was trying to climb up to the stage in North Carolina and even took down one in Florida with some sort of complex judo throw.

Bronson, 31, who grew up in New York, was born to an Albanian Muslim father and a Jewish New York mother. Before he embarked on his career as a rapper he was a well-reviewed gourmet chef in New York and hosted his own online cooking show called Action in the Kitchen. After he broke his leg in the kitchen in 2011 he decided to concentrate exclusively on his rap career.

Lovebox festival, which takes place in Victoria Park, has been running since 2002 and acts playing this year include rapper Snoop Dogg, Rudimental, Hot Chip and Cypress Hill.
