Andy Murray wedding: Tennis player describes Kim Sears nuptials as 'alright'
His toothy grin said otherwise...
It's hard to crack a smile out of Andy Murray, let alone a beaming one, but his big day on Saturday managed to do just that.
Not that you'd have guessed he was exuding happiness based on his words to reporters outside Dunblane Cathedral, where he married long-term girlfriend of nine years Kim Sears.
"Alright, thanks," came the 27-year-old Wimbledon champion's characteristically dour reply when asked how his wedding had gone but, of course, his toothy grin told another story.
The newly-wed couple left the church yesterday afternoon to cheers of congratulations from gathered crowds.
Murray and Sears are believed to have rejected a seven-figure magazine offer to cover their nuptials in order to keep the special occasion private.
Prior to the event, the tennis player tweeted a string of emoticons including plenty of faces crying tears of joy, some love hearts and plenty of booze before lots of 'Zzz's.
