TV presenters Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly earn £23,00 per day, according to new reports.

The pair have been a pop culture fixture since the Nineties and their longevity is paying dividends.

The Mirror reports that the most recent accounts filed by the pair shows that the pair earned £8.4 million between them, which works out at £23,013 per day if accurate.

Their income comes from co-hosting ITV programmes such as Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and Britain's Got Talent. Their careers began on hit Nineties TV children's drama Byker Grove.

McPartlin and Donnelly, both 39, are also thought to own £10 million of property in west London between the two of them.

The pair are also insured against one of them dying. In 2013, McPartlin said: "We're insured against the other dying."

He joked: "It's not for tens of millions but a fair chunk. If [Dec] does ever die in unfortunate circumstances, I'm going to be the first person the police come to because I've got a motive."

The pair have won most popular entertainment presenter at the National Television Awards 14 years in a row.

The median UK household takes in £26,000 after tax.
