Appeals

The Friends of the Frank Wise School, which gives specialist education to children with severe learning difficulties, is appealing for pounds 250,000 to build a hydrotherapy pool. The pool will maintain a temperature high enough to increase freedom of movement for more profoundly handicapped pupils, and will be long enough - 11 metres - to teach more able-bodied pupils how to swim. Other organisations connected to disability will also be able to use the pool.
