The following appointments have been announced by the Church of England:

The Rev Paul A. Burkitt, Vicar, Eaton with Grosmont: to be Priest-in-Charge of St John the Baptist, Newington with St Mary & St Peter, Dairycoates and also part-time Chaplain to the Arts and Recreation in the Hull area (York).

The Rev Stella V. Collins, Parish Deacon, Wilton with Netherhampton & Fugglestone and Rural Dean of Wylye & Wilton (Salisbury): to be also a Non- Residentiary Canon of Salisbury Cathedral.

The Rev Pamela Fawcett, Honorary Curate, Repps Deanery: to be Honorary Curate in the Trunch Group of Parishes (Norwich).

The Rev John M. Glasspool, Curate, Forest Gate, Emmanuel with St Peter, Upton Cross: to be Priest- in-Charge, Theydon Garnon, Team Vicar designate in the Epping Team Ministry and Chaplain of St Margaret's Hospital, Epping (Chelmsford).

The Rev W. Giles Harris-Evans, Team Rector, Coventry East Team Ministry (Coventry): to be Vicar of Brighouse (Wakefield).

Canon Austin Masters, recently retired from Hereford Diocese: to be a Canon Emeritus of Hereford

The Rev Robert A. Scrivener, Team Vicar in the Hemel Hempstead Team Ministry (St Albans): to be Vicar, Kingston upon Hull St Nicholas (York).

The Rev Martin C. Warner, Team Vicar, Parish of the Resurrection, Leicester (Leicester): to be Administrator of the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham

(Norwich).

The Rev Paul Wright, Rector, St Paulinus, Crayford (Rochester): to be also Rural Dean of Erith.

RESIGNATIONS and RETIREMENTS

The Rev Roy Fellows, Administrator of the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham (Norwich): to retire as from 10 June 1993.

The Rev James Hall, Rector, High Oak (Morley, Wicklewood, Deopham, Hackford) (Norwich): to retire as from 30 June 1993.

The Rev John Sumner, Vicar, All Saints Swallowfield (Oxford): to retire as from 8 May 1993.
