US rapper ASAP Rocky is reportedly being sued by a female fan who claims he slapped her so hard that she was knocked to the ground.

According to Courthouse News Service, Lisamarie Wade claims she is still suffering nearly a year after the September 2013 incident.

ASAP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, allegedly slapped Ms Wade in the face as she walked through a large crowd at the Made in America Festival in Philadelphia.

She said that since the alleged episode, she continues to suffer from “muscle spasm, migraine headaches, intense pain that radiates from her shoulders and into her arms and fingers, and exacerbation of pre-existing conditions.”

According to TMZ, Ms Wade also claimed that she was left unable to “enjoy society with her minor child as a young, single mother” after the alleged slap.

Ms Wade is seeking compensatory and punitive damages for civil assault and battery, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, negligence and premises liability.

She has also reportedly named Mayer’s entourage, Live Nation Entertainment, Roc Nation, and the John Doe security employers and employees and event organizers and subcontractors in her lawsuit filed at the Federal Court.
