Bill Bailey’s tour bus stolen during Liverpool gig

Thieves drove off with laptops and suitcases

The comedian Bill Bailey had his tour bus stolen during a performance at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, but went on with the show regardless.

Thieves broke into the vehicle via a production room and stole two laptops, Bailey’s manager told the BBC. The bus also contained suitcases belonging to the crew and merchandise.

Bailey confirmed the alleged theft on Twitter.

A Merseyside Police statement said: “Merseyside Police can confirm that yesterday (Monday, 26 October), officers received a report that a Mercedes Sprinter van was stolen from the car park of the Royal Philharmonic Hall, Hope Street, Liverpool, at around 14:30 GMT.

“Officers believe keys for the van were stolen from an office at the location.”
