Cake ex-drummer Peter Ivan McNeal sentenced to 15 years after molesting girl, aged three
The musician has also been ordered to register as a sex offender

Peter Ivan McNeal has been given a 15-year prison sentence, after being convicted of molesting a three-year-old girl.
The incident took place at Thanksgiving party in 2009, where he was a guest.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Fred Wapner also ordered the 48-year-old musician to register as a sex offender for life, the LA Times reports.
A Massachusetts woman testified in 2012 that her three-year-old daughter had given a graphic demonstration of how she was molested by McNeal at a Laurel Canyon home.
In March 2013, jurors found McNeal was found guilty of oral copulation of a child of 10 years or under. A previous trial over the charge resulted in a hung jury.
In 2009, he was charged with misdemeanour child molestation after attempting to molest a six-year-old girl while volunteering at an LA school.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of luring a child and lewd conduct and was given 36 months’ probation for each count. He was also ordered to attend one year of sexual counselling.
The musician, a father of two, played with alternative rock band Cake from 2001 to 2004.
