'Sensible advice from ridiculously successful people'. That's the name of Vanity Fair's new video and it does exactly what it says on the tin, with original Star Wars director George Lucas, US actress Rashida Jones and many more sharing the best tips they've ever been given.

“The best advice I ever received was to be persistent,” says Lucas.

“You should do the thing that you love. If you focus more so on the thing that you love rather than how much money you can make from doing it, then the money will come,” says Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s head of content acquisition.

“It’s a marathon, it’s not a sprint, know that no matter what happens you’ll always pick yourself back up and keep going,” says Maria Shriver, an NBC news anchor.

The video was recorded as part of Vanity Fair’s annual New Establishment summit, in which a series of influential people from a variety of industries host discussions on modern culture.
