Charlie Sheen sued by ex-girlfriend for allegedly not disclosing HIV status and 'forcing her to have an abortion'

Charlie Sheen is being sued by an ex-girlfriend for assault, negligence and emotional distress for allegedly not disclosing his HIV-positive status before they had sex.

Scottine Ross claims the Two and a Half Men actor forced her to have an abortion in 2014 and assaulted her on a number of occasions, according to a suit filed in California’s Supreme Court. Sheen intends to strongly contest the claim.

Sheen, 50, confirmed his HIV diagnosis during an interview on the US Today show. During the interview, he admitted to having had sex with two women without using protection but claimed they were aware of his status beforehand and cared for by his doctors.

Ross, an adult film star who performed under the name Brett Rossi, claims she met Sheen in 2013 and was offered $10,000 to have sex with him. Her lawsuit claims they fell in love and became engaged in 2014, allegedly having sex at least five times before Rossi found his HIV medication.

The 26-year-old claims the pair then had a “heart to heart” and she decided to stay with Sheen and “engage in unprotected sexual intercourse like a normal couple” because of his treatment to reduce transmission risk.

In her suit, Ross claims she then fell pregnant with his child and after telling Sheen he forced her to terminate the pregnancy because he was worried about the child being HIV positive.

Her complaint states: “When [Ross] told Sheen that she did not want to have an abortion, Sheen erupted into a fit of rage, stating he would ‘kick her to the curb’ if she did not have an abortion, and that he did not want her to ‘give birth to a retarded child.”

Sheen's lawyer Marty Singer said his client will vigorously contest the suit. “We are confident that Mr. Sheen will prevail in this action and will prevail on his claims for affirmative relief against her,” he said in a statement to US Weekly.
