The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, to the delight of those who have been waiting for news of a name since her birth on 2 May.

Charlotte was the bookies' favourite name, with Elizabeth and Diana also in the running. It also happens to have been the 17th most popular girl's name of 2014 in the UK.

While thousands of girls and woman who are also named Charlotte have taken to social media to say how thrilled they are that the baby has been "named after them", others have reacted less favourably.

However, other Charlottes are more than happy to share their name with a Royal.

Charlotte Elizabeth Diana's full title is HRH Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.

The family have relocated to Kensington Palace following the birth, and all are said to be doing well.
