Church appointments

The Very Rev Robin Waddington, Dean of Manchester, to retire at the end of August.

The Ven Michael Perry, Archdeacon of Durham, to resign his archdeaconry and the accompanying Cathedral Canonry. He is to be a Residentiary Canon of Durham Cathedral and Bishop's Senior Chaplain (Durham).

The Ven Derek Hodgson, Archdeacon of Auckland, diocese Durham, to be Archdeacon of Durham, with its accompanying Cathedral Canonry, as from 4 June.

Canon Granville Gibson, Rector, Sunderland Team Ministry, and Rural Dean of Wearmouth, to be Archdeacon of Auckland (Durham) as from 1 September.

The Rev Bill Baker, Assistant Curate, St Anne, Sale: to be Vicar, St Andrew, Crewe (Chester).

Canon Fred Kilner, Rector, Milton: to be also Rural Dean of Quy (Ely).

The Rev Ann Must: permission to officiate in the deanery of Reculver (Canterbury).

The Rev Christopher Simmons, Assistant Curate, Kirkleatham: to be Priest-in-charge, Radby (York).

The Rev Peter Worthen, Vicar, St John's, Welling (Rochester): to be Team Vicar, Stantonbury Ecumenical Team Ministry with responsibility for Old Bradwell St Lawrence (Oxford).
