Church appointments
The following appointments have been announced by the Church of England:
The Rev Andrew Davis, Assistant Curate, St Mary, Alverstoke: to be Assistant Curate, St Mark, North End, with special responsibility for St Francis, North End (Portsmouth).
The Rev John Errington, Team Vicar, Whorlton Team Ministry, in charge of St Wilfrid, Newbiggin Hall: to be Vicar, Balkwell St Peter, North Shields (Newcastle).
The Rev Glyn Evans, Curate, Denton: to be Vicar, Choppington (Newcastle).
The Rev Ronald Farrell, Bishop's Officer for Schools in the North Birmingham group: to be Vicar, St Mark, Kingstanding (Birmingham).
The Rev Zolile Mbali, Priest-in-charge, the Langtons: to be also an Honorary Canon of Leicester Cathedral (Leicester).
RESIGNATIONS and RETIREMENTS
The Rev Kenneth Campbell, Vicar, Brough with Stainmore and Musgrave and Warcop (Carlisle): to resign as from 31 August.
The Rev John Davidson, Rector, North Creedy Team Ministry (Exeter): to retire as from 30 September.
The Rev Robert Durant, Rector, East Allington, Slapton and Strete (Exeter): to retire as from 30 September.
The Rev John Fall, Priest-in-charge, Dorrington; Leebotwood with Longnor; Stapleton; Smethcote with Woolstaston (Hereford): retired as from 17 May.
The Rev Tony Good, Team Rector, Wallingford Team Ministry (Oxford): to retire as from 6 November.
Prebendary W. David Jones, Vicar, Ilminster with Whitelackington (Bath and Wells): retired as from 13 July. He will remain Prebendary of Wedmore III.
The Rev Russell Kinsey, Vicar, Pill with Easton in Gordano and Portbury (Bath and Wells): to resign as from 30 September.
The Rev Victor Searle-Barnes, Vicar, St Peter and St Paul, Hambledon (Portsmouth): retired as of 30 June.
The Rev John Sertin, Rector, Donyatt with Ashill with Broadway (Bath and Wells): retired as of 31 May.
Canon Charles Tompkins, Rector, St Mary, Handsworth (Birmingham): to retire, and then to be appointed as Canon Emeritus of Birmingham Cathedral.
