BUCKINGHAM PALACE

28 February: Mr Terence Hampstead, Mr Michael Puzey and Mr Ronald Welbelove were received by The Queen at Windsor Castle when Her Majesty decorated them with the Royal Victorian Medal (Silver).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron and Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, this evening attended the Opening Ceremony of the Young President's Organisation London 1993, Alexandra Palace, London N22.

Brigadier Miles Hunt-Davis was in attendance.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Prince of Wales attends a service to celebrate St David's Day at St David's Cathedral, Dyfed; visits St David's Industries; and as President, the Prince's Trust, meets Prince's Trust Volunteers at Pembrokeshire College, Haverfordwest, Dyfed. The Princess of Wales visits Nepal, accompanied by Baroness Chalker, Minister for Overseas Development. Prince Edward, President of the Lord's Taverners, attends a reception at Simpson (Piccadilly) Limited, London W1, to launch the Lord's Taverners Cricket Tour to Kenya. The Princess Royal inaugurates the Seagull Trust's new Reception Centre and Drydock on the Union Canal, Ratho, Edinburgh; opens the Scottish Brain Injuries Rehabilitation Service at Astley Ainslie Hospital, Edinburgh; opens the new extension to Parliament House, Edinburgh; and as Patron, the Butler Trust, presents the Prison Service Annual Awards, Palace of Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh. Princess Michael of Kent attends a luncheon and Fashion Show to launch the National Council for Child Health's Child 200 Campaign sponsored by Boots, at The Savoy, London WC2. Prince and Princess Michael of Kent attend a performance of Crazy for You in aid of Barnardo's and the Park Lane Group Appeal at the Prince Edward Theatre, London W1.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion the King's Regiment mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the King's Regiment.
