14 September: The Prince Edward this afternoon returned to Royal Air Force Northolt from a visit to Spain.

Lieutenant-Colonel Sean O'Dwyer was in attendance.

12 September: The Lady Angela Oswald has succeeded the Lady Margaret Colville as Lady-in- Waiting to Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

14 September: The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The West Nova Scotia Regiment, this morning received Colonel Charles MacLellan, Honorary Colonel of the Regiment, at Kensington Palace.

14 September: Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, Colonel- in-Chief, The King's Own Scottish Borderers, was present at a luncheon given by the Trustees of the Regiment at Dryburgh Abbey Hotel, St Boswells, Roxburghshire, Scotland.

Dame Jean Maxwell-Scott was in attendance.

The Prince of Wales presents the Community Entreprise Scheme Awards at Edinburgh Castle; opens the Whitley Fish Counter Weir at Banchory- Devenick, Grampian; and re-opens the Burnett Memorial on Scolty Hill, Banchory. The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Order of St John, opens the St John Ambulance Head- quarters, Epsom, Surrey; and the Exhibition 'Tibetan Art at Spink', at Spink & Son Limited, London SW1. The Duchess of Gloucester opens the Youth Wing at Emily Fortey School, Leicester; the Leicester Disablement Services Centre at Leicester General Hospital, Leicester; and Stuart Court, the Church of England Pensions Board's new Residential Home for the Clergy, Harborough, Leicestershire.
