Cristiano Ronaldo has a 'few' special women in his life because he needs to 'figure out who is better'

Cristiano Ronaldo has an interesting view on how best to find a suitable partner.

In news that will surprise few, the Real Madrid footballer said he expects women to 'compete' in order to become his girlfriend.

Ronaldo claimed to be dating a “few” women simultaneously in order to determine “who is better” when he appeared on the Jonathan Ross Show this week.

The 30-year-old was a guest on the chat show ahead of the release of Ronaldo, a film about his life. The documentary has been described as a “remarkable vanity project” by The Guardian, who claimed it would be difficult “not to come away with the feeling that Ronaldo must shout his own name during sex” after watching it.

When Ross asked if there was “special someone” in Ronaldo’s life right now, he replied: “A few.”

“And of the few specials, do they know they’re competing?” asked Ross.

“I need to figure out who is better,” Ronaldo said. “Some know, yes.”

His fame has made it more difficult to find a partner, with Ronaldo admitting half of those who approach him are probably interested in his fame. But it would seem this knowledge has not completely knocked his confidence.

“But in another way, I think I’m a confident guy, I’m tall, I have [my] own teeth, I have a nice body so I think the other 50 per cent is because…” “They like you?” Ross asked. “Yes, I think so” Cristiano replied.

Later in the interview,Ronaldo demonstrated more depth when it came to discussing his young son’s future.

“It’s all about education,” he said. “If you will give good education, he will be strong and he will now appreciate the things. I can’t avoid showing him a good car, good houses, a good quality of life. If you were in my shoes, what would you do?

“It’s all about education, you have to give good education and pass to him. [I tell him] Daddy works hard to get this, to have this house, to have this car. I cannot do anything more and my mum helps him a lot, my brothers, the education of family is kind of similar and Cristiano is going to have the same education as me and after in the future, he’s going to be whatever he wants.”
