Jep Robertson has been hospitalised after suffering a seizure.

The star of US reality TV show Duck Dynasty was taken to hospital after suffering a seizure during a hunting trip, according to TMZ.

He tweeted a link to the TMZ story, confirming the incident was true.

A representative for Jep told the site he is doing better but will stay in hosptial for more tests.

The 36-year-old is being treated with antibiotics afer doctors said a possible infection may have triggered the seizure.

But he appeared to be in good spirits, tweeting a photo of himself in his hospital bed likening himself to actor Steven Segal.

He told his fans: “Well, I about died this past Sunday…I’m doing much better now. Thanks for all the prayers! #seizuresuck #gladtobealive.”

Jep, who is the youngest song of Phil and Miss Kay, also films and edits footage of the family for their company’s Duckmen DVD series as well as appearing on the show.
