Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain reveals how she lost three stone
Nadiya Hussain says she used to be a size 16/18

Nadiya Hussain has told how she lost three stone in nine months by drinking four litres of water per day.
The Great British Bake Off winner, who says she was a size 16/18 before the diet, told Hello! Magazine after marrying her husband Abdal and having three children, she became “comfortable”.
“After I was married and a mum, I got comfortable, my husband loved me, the house was warm, I was happy. I was a size 16/18.”
Hussain, 30, decided to lose weight three years ago, initially trying meal replacements which she says didn’t suit her, despite resulting in losing a stone.
“Instead, I just ate smaller portions of food and walked a lot. I would do five meals before the kids got up and then go out again in the evening. I also drank four litres of water a day. Gradually, over nine months I lost three stone.”
Hussain, who gave an emotional winners speech stating she will never put “boundaries” on herself again, also spoke of her nerves ahead of GBBO.
“Before I did Bake Off I did wonder if, after 10 years of being at home, I was work ready. When I was called for the final 12 I nearly rang to tell them I couldn’t do it. My speech when I won came from somewhere deep.”
“With each week of Bake Off another boundary fell away until I felt completely open and free to run as far as I wanted. I feel there’s nothing I can’t do.”
