According to the Guardian, Clooney had earlier in the day told reporters he “absolutely agrees” with Germany’s open door policy towards refugees fleeing war in Syria.

On Friday, the Ocean’s Eleven actor told Reuters that, for, him “the refugee crisis is not just the Syrian refugees” and raised the continuing plight of refugees from South Sudan and Darfur.
“It’s really all over the world,” he said, “60 million displaced people right now in the world — it’s just a terrible, terrible time for it.”
Clooney is in the German capital to promote his latest film Hail, Ceaser! which was showcased at the Berlin Film Festival.
