Gigi Hadid fans express upset at lack of moles in model's latest magazine cover
Fans appear to like Gigi just the way she is
Fans of model of the moment Gigi Hadid aren’t happy that her latest shots seem to be missing some distinguishing features: her moles.
Hadid shared an image of her Vogue China front cover with her 13.9 million Instagram followers last week. But some followers noticed the absence of moles on her stomach and have suggested the publication photoshopped them off.
“Where are her moles?” one follower wrote, another said: “Wow they totally covered up all your beauty marks on your stomach”, while one pleaded: “WHERE ARE YOUR CUTE LIL FRECKLES… WHY WOULD YOU PHOTOSHOP THAT?”
Fans were also keen to point out that this may be a regular occurrence, with one saying: “If you Google image her photos everyone photoshops her moles out” and suggested past campaigns like VS Pink and a 2015 Sports Illustrated shot where the moles also seem to be absent.
Many of the comments were praising the model’s shot, with one person saying: “Mole or no mole, you are seriously stunning.”
The 20-year-old’s moles are visible in several snaps on her Instagram page including from her recent cover for Love Magazine and her debut walking the Victoria’s Secret show in New York last year.
Hadid has risen to prominence in the modelling world in recent years starring in campaigns for Stuart Weitzman, Maybelline and Versace. She has also walked in shows for a multitude of designers such as Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs and Chanel and at the end of last year, she and close friend Kendall Jenner were deemed worthy of being recognised as “supermodels” by Vogue magazine.
The Independent has contacted a representative for Hadid and Vogue China.
