Lorraine Kelly accidentally propositions Piers Morgan on live TV
Lorraine has since addressed the incident, saying she sometimes forgets she's on TV when saying things
Lorraine Kelly was left red-faced after accidentally propositioning Piers Morgan during her TV show.
The unfortunate incident happened after Kelly was presented with a gift by Good Morning Britain’s newest presenter Piers Morgan for her 56th birthday.
Morgan arrived on set to bagpipe music wearing a kilt as a tribute to Kelly’s homeland with the present in tow.
The gift was a pillow with the ever-modest Morgan’s face on it, to which Kelly replied: “I can sit on your face now”.
Immediately realising what she just said on national television, Kelly burst into laughter while Morgan tried to gloss over the incident and retain his composure.
However, Twitter users had other ideas and were determined not to let the innuendo be forgotten.
Following the incident, more awkwardness entailed as Morgan revealed he was “commando” under his kilt.
Kelly and Morgan both addressed the incident on Twitter following the programme, with the former saying she often forgets she’s on TV when saying things that come into her head.
Dubbing the incident ‘pillow-gate’, Morgan said every consequential headline is making him “laugh out loud”.
