Iggy Azalea may have incurred the wrath of yet another figure in the music industry after making a series of comments regarding the efforts of her ‘Pretty Girls’ collaborator Britney Spears.

The outspoken rapper implied the poor performance of their song, which only just made it into the US Billboard chart’s top 30, was in part due to a lack of promotion on Spears’ part while chatting to fans on Twitter.

A few hours later, Spears just happened to be on Twitter and published this *completely* unrelated tweet.

While the tweet does not mention Azalea's name, some have suggested the singer is referring to the number of performances Azalea has planned for this year after cancelling her 'Great Escape' tour, citing "a different creative change of heart".

Spears meanwhile is continuing her hugely successful Piece of Me residency this year in Las Vegas, earning her a reported $15 million.

Azalea quit Twitter in February after returning from a holiday to a number of negative comments after her appearance but made a comeback a few weeks later.
