Jools Oliver has revealed two of her children played midwife during the birth of her son by helping cut the umbilical cord after watching the delivery.

The model and her chef husband Jamie Oliver welcomed their fifth, as of yet unnamed, child over the weekend.

Sharing a picture of herself breastfeeding her son, Jools, 41, added she was “proud” of her two eldest children Poppy Honey Rosie, 14, and Daisy Boo Pamela, 13.

“Little baby boy Oliver has arrived and we are so very happy, blessed, grateful and totally in love all over again and so very proud of our two eldest daughters who cut the cord,” she wrote to her 351,000 followers.

Jamie, also 41, wrote on Facebook that his two eldest girls came in at the end of the delivery to witness the birth.

“Jools was really, really amazing, unbelievably composed, natural birth and my two eldest girls got to come in at the very end as the baby was born which was amazing to witness, very very emotional,” he wrote.

The couple, who have been married for 16 years, also have a younger daughter called Petal Blossom Rainbow, seven, and son Buddy Bear, who was born in 2010.
