Stars reading out mean tweets on Jimmy Kimmel is fast becoming the welcome antidote to the worst aspects of social media.

This week's round-up of actors sharing the best efforts of their trolls included Kurt Russell, who was told his face was made of aged denim (and couldn't agree more), and Daniel Radcliffe, who was declared “one of God’s most unattractive creations since the aardvark".

Michael B Jordan’s tweeter was the most creative of the bunch by threatening to slap the “feather duster he calls a moustache” should he ever bump into the actor.

While Kirsten Dunst, Colin Farrell and others were amused by some of the comments, Sarah Paulson took a more hardline stance with her tweeter: “Bite me motherf*****, that’s how I feel about that.”

Other actors to take a turn on Kimmel's Mean Tweets segment include Benedict Cumberbatch, who channelled his inner Beyonce with his response and President Obama (whose chosen tweet was much less NSFW).
