She is regarded by critics as one of the internet’s biggest trolls, but Katie Hopkins has ironically described Russell Brand as a “bully”.

The controversial pundit criticised the comedian after he shared the contact details of a Daily Mail reporter.

He is yet to respond either on Twitter or through his popular YouTube channel The Trews.

Brand deleted the image of Neil Sears’ business card, but the post is a breach of Twitter’s usage rules which stop users from sharing private information about other users without their permission.

The tweet made allegations about the tax affairs of the Daily Mail and the newspaper’s owner, Lord Rothermere.

He could be banned from the social platform for the gaffe, for which he later half apologised for on Twitter:

“You may not publish or post other people’s private and confidential information, such as credit card numbers, street address or social security/national identity numbers, without their express authorisation and permission,” reads the Twitter rules.

“Twitter reserves the right to immediately terminate your account without further notice in the event that, in its judgment, you violate these rules or the terms of service.”

The tweet comes after Russell Brand threatened to take legal action against The Sun last week for labelling him a ‘hypocrite’.
