Kim Kardashian sex tape ex Ray J charged with four crimes including sexual battery
The producer and actor has been charged following an incident at a Beverly Hills hotel in May
Kim Kardashian’s former lover and “star” of the pair’s infamous 2007 sex tape, has been charged with four crimes, including sexual battery.
The charges against Ray J, 33, date back to an incident at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles in May, according to TMZ.
The alleged offences are sexual battery, vandalism of a police car, battery on a police officer and resisting arrest, according to a misdemeanour complaint filed on Monday.
Ray J, whose real name is William Ray Norwood, was originally said to have brushed up against a woman’s bottom at the bar in the hotel.
Following the incident he was thrown out of the bar, where he allegedly went on to kick out a police car window and spit on an officer.
However, at the time police decided that he had not committed sexual battery because the contact was “incidental”.
But law enforcement sources have now said “new evidence” has emerged to bring the charges, TMZ reported.
Witnesses have reportedly alleged that Ray J actually groped the woman’s breast, according to the gossip site.
Ray J’s arraignment is scheduled for Friday, but he does not have to attend court.
