In London, students will soon have the opportunity to be taught by Angelina Jolie , whose appointment as a professor at the London School of Economics was recently announced to great fanfare.
Across the globe, students at the University of Texas will have the chance to subscribe to a film class taught by Matthew McConaughey.
His appointment was confirmed in a post by the University on social media, who welcomed McConaughey alongside Gary Ross, the director of the Hunger Games. They will teach a filmmaking class to 30 students at the Moody College of Communication and explore the process behind their forthcoming film, Free State of Jones.
Classes will be conducted through largely pre-recorded sessions, although he is expected to appear in some seminars.
The University was ranked 11th in the top 25 schools for filmmaking by The Hollywood Reporter, with tuition costing $17,108 for an out-of-state undergrad compared to $44,169 for Stanford.
