With Jennifer Aniston's latest film proving to be yet another flop at the US box office, many Hollywood insiders are discussing the 'curse of Friends'; so-named as the show's former stars continue to struggle in their attempts to find success since the sitcom ended in 2004.

Many much-loved television actors have found themselves having to start back at square one after the end of the show that made them famous, or indeed, after leaving the show for what they thought would be bigger things. Here, we take a look at the stars who made it on the big screen (and TV again), and those that didn't.
