Once again Nicki Minaj has proved she takes no prisoners. In a valiant display of her fearless attitude, the American singer and rapper hurled a bouncer’s phone across the stage when she reportedly realised he was using it during her performance.

Exerting her authority during a show in Dubai on Friday night, the 33-year-old artist appeared to confiscate a member of the venue’s security personnel’s telephone before continuing with her performance.

Since the incident, fans of the multi-award winning singer and songwriter have applauded her actions on Twitter.

One user wrote, “Nicki Minaj got her security guards phone and threw it away cause he wasn’t doing his job love her".

While another added, "He wasn't doing his job point blank period, she paying him to protect her like everyone else yet he on his phone".

The Trinidadian-born American artist, who has 51.2 million Instagram followers, is the first woman to be included on MTV’s annual hottest MC list and has gained ten Grammy nominations during the course of her career. She recently gained attention when she likened the American prison system with “slavery” due to “inhumane” sentences and overcrowding.
