Patrick O'Neal, actor, died New York City 9 September, aged 66. His film credits include King Rat (1965), The Kremlin Letter (1970) and The Way We Were (1973).

Frederick Weisman, philanthropist, died Los Angeles 11 September, aged 82. An art collector, he gave donations to the American Center in Paris and the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota.
