Aladena 'Jimmy the Weasel' Fratianno, died 29 June, aged 79. In 1977, after 30 years in organised crime, he became a government witness, admitting to five murders and helping to convict 26 of his former colleagues. Life in the mob was simple, he said: 'When the boss tells you to do something, you do it. You don't do it, they kill you.'
