Ronnie Aldrich, pianist and musical director, died Clatterbridge, Wirral, 30 September, aged 77. Pianist, musical arranger and, from 1961, leader of the Squadronaires, the Royal Air Force no 1 Dance Orchestra, from soon after its formation in 1940 until it broke up in 1964. Later musical director of Thames Television.
