Obituary: Anne Spencer Lindbergh

Anne Spencer Lindbergh, writer, died Thetford Center, Vermont 10 December, aged 53. The elder daughter of the aviator Charles A. Lindbergh, her most popular books, written for children, were The People of Pineapple Place and The Prisoner of Pineapple Place.

Bernard V. Bothmer, Egyptologist, died 24 November, aged 81. New York University professor known for his expertise in Egyptian sculpture of the Late Period (approximately 750BC to 100BC). He was named the Lila Acheson Wallace Professor of Ancient Egyptian Art in 1982. Chairman, Department of Egyptian, Classical and Ancient Middle Eastern Art, Brooklyn Museum 1977-82.
