Obituary: Archbishop Timothy Olufosoye
Archbishop Timothy Olufosoye, died Nigeria (age not known, but thought to be between 75 and 80). The first Anglican Archbishop of Nigeria 1979-92, his father was the first Christian in the Olufosoye (meaning the 'great chief expands') family. Trained at St Helens Parish Church, Lancashire, in 1953 and then Sheffield Cathedral. Member of the executive committee of the World Council of Churches.
