Benny Amdursky, folk singer, died Tel Aviv 23 January, aged 62. Known for his country and western renditions of traditional Hebrew folk songs, he was part of a singing duo called 'Dudayim' (Hebrew for mandrake). With Yisrael Gurion, he played a key role in popularising classical Hebrew songs at a time before rock and roll became dominant.
