John Caspar Dreier, diplomat, died Cambridge, Massachusetts 10 March, aged 87. US Ambassador to the Organization of American States 1950-60, he was a specialist in Latin American affairs. Chairman of the Council of the Organization of American States 1952-53. Published works include The Organization of American States and the Hemisphere Crisis (1961) and Alliance for Progress, Policies and Perspective (1962).
