Joseph Pulitzer Jnr, publisher, died 26 May, aged 80. Chairman of Pulitzer Publishing, he was named after his grandfather, founder of the newspaper empire with the St Louis Post in 1878. Editor and publisher of the St Louis Post-Dispatch between 1955 and 1986, and for the same period chairman of the board that awards the annual Pulitzer Prizes.
