Juan Pineiro, playwright, died Paris 13 January, aged 49. Born in Spain, he wrote his main works in French. Worked with the Argentinian theatre group TSE, for whom he wrote Vierge ('Virgin') in 1976. His first novel, Le Voyage Nu ('The Naked Journey'), was published the following year.
