Lt-Col Barry Kavanagh, soldier, died Malton, Yorkshire 10 January, aged 73. Awarded the Military Cross while serving with the Duke of Wellington's Regiment in Normandy in 1944; and a bar to his MC when a company commander in the Korean Hook Battle of 1953.
