Michel Vitold, actor and director, died Paris 14 June, aged 79. His best-known role was that of Garcin in the Paris production of No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre in 1944; he also appeared in plays by Jean Cocteau, Jean Anouilh and Albert Camus. Directed at the Comedie-Francaise from 1961.
