Paul Petrides, art dealer, died Paris 2 August, aged 92. Represented the artists of the Ecole de Paris, notably Utrillo, Vlaminck and Fujita. Became Utrillo's sole agent and made a fortune in the post-war years by selling to American and Japanese buyers. Was later involved in scandal when stolen paintings were found in his possession. He was sentenced to three years' imprisonment in 1979, which he did not serve because of his age.
