Professor Henry Westlake, Greek scholar, died 23 July, aged 85. Professor of Greek at Manchester University from 1949 to 1972, and Pro-Vice Chancellor 1965 to 1968. Author of Timoleon and His Relations with Tyrants (1952) and Individuals in Thucydides (1968).
