He photoshopped Miley Cyrus and Chrissy Teigen's nipples over his own

The #Freethenipple movement has gained more momentum since the likes of Chelsea Handler, Miley Cyrus and Chrissy Teigen have had photos flagged and removed from Instagram.

And as a result, activists are getting more creative in highlighting an important issue about the way we treat women’s bodies versus the way we treat men’s.

Earlier this week, a campaign went viral that supplied women with a ‘cut out and keep’ template of a men’s nipple to photoshop over their own topless pictures.

Instagram considers male nipples acceptable but not ones belonging to women.

Now, in solidarity for the #Freethenipple movement, Orange Is The New Black’s officer Bennett, aka Matt McGorry, has posted an image of him shirtless with Miley and Chrissy’s nipples photoshopped over his own.

McGorry admitted he has only recently started identifying as a feminist but in recent weeks has made up for lost time by campaigining passionately about equal rights.

“The banning of women’s nipples may sound normal or even inconsequential as you think, “well, women’s nipples are more sexual than men’s nipples. But that’s not some scientific fact. It’s because of how our society so heavily sexualises women,” he says in the post.

“You might be thinking to yourself, there are way more important issues out there than women being able to expose their bumpy buttons whenever men can. But it’s not just about getting an even tan; it’s one piece of the puzzle of creating deep change in the way our society objectifies women and creates these different standards for men and women (and other genders).”

His post has over 77,000 likes so far.

Other celebrities who have joined the #Freethenipple movement include Bruce Willis’ daughter Scout, Cara Delevigne and Courtney Love.

Rihanna quit the social network last year after growing frustrated with having her photos taken down.
