Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain: Susanna Reid says working with temporary co-host 'was like being sat next to a mini tornado'

Susanna Reid has compared presenting alongside a relentless Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain (GMB) as like being sat next to a “mini tornado”.
Morgan is on the GMB sofa this week as a temporary stand-in for her co-host Ben Shepherd.
His already memorable stint has seen him tell Reid she “looked like a giant, glowing daffodil” in her yellow dress and reading out a tweet suggesting she had been flirting with him.
Reid wasn’t the only one to be mocked by the former News of the World editor however. The Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls was one of many guests also at the receiving end of his quips too.
Despite his digs, Reid was complimentary about Morgan, describing her time working with him as “fantastic” and “a real privilege”.
“He's a force of nature,” she continued. “It's like sitting next to a mini tornado and I think whenever anyone gets interviewed by him, they feel like they've been through a tornado. You should see the looks on guests' faces after they've been interviewed by Piers. They're like 'what just happened?'.
"He's been there, done it. It's incredible the kind of career he's had. It's fantastic and he brings a whole new energy to the programme and I am very much looking forward to working with him again tomorrow, I have the day off on Friday and then Ben is back on Monday. It's been brilliant."
