The iconic singer Prince has died aged 57.

In a statement, his publicist said: “It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57.

“There are no further details as to the cause of death at this time.”

While tributes from Lionel Richie, Chaka Khan and Justin Timberlake have poured in, anecdotes and quotes have also been widely shared.

Including this one encounter from Tracy Morgan, who claimed in his book he once got kicked out of Prince's house - a moment we can only wish we were witness.

In case you were wondering on the veracity of this, Morgan mentioned it when appearing on Conan O'Brien in 2014, blaming his antics on his alter ego Chico Divine.
